Fiery Furnace | Even If He Does Not | Daniel 3 Worship Song |Faith in the Fire
“Even If He Does Not” is a Christian worship song inspired by Daniel 3 and the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fiery furnace. Centered on the powerful words “but even if He does not,” this song reflects a faith that trusts God not only when He delivers, but also when the outcome is different from what we hoped. A meaningful worship song for anyone facing trials, unanswered prayer, waiting, suffering, uncertainty, or a difficult season, reminding us that God is able, God is sovereign, and He is with us even in the fire.
“Even If He Does Not” is a worship song inspired by Daniel 3 and the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fiery furnace.
King Nebuchadnezzar commanded everyone in Babylon to bow down before the golden image he had made. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refused. They knew their decision could cost them their lives, yet they stood before the king and declared that their God was able to save them from the blazing furnace.
Then came the words that reveal the depth of their faith:
“But if not…”
Their trust in God was not dependent on receiving the outcome they wanted. They believed God could deliver them, but even if He did not rescue them in the way they expected, they would still refuse to worship another god.
That is the heart of this song.
Faith is not only saying, “God, I know You can change this.”
Sometimes faith also says, “Even if You do not change it the way I hope, I will still trust You.”
The three men were eventually thrown into the furnace, but God did not abandon them there. Nebuchadnezzar looked into the fire and saw not three men, but four. God did not keep them from entering the fire; He met them in the middle of it.
This story speaks deeply to anyone walking through a difficult season — unanswered prayer, illness, loss, uncertainty, waiting, disappointment, or circumstances that seem impossible to change.
Sometimes God removes the fire.
Sometimes He leads us through it.
But He is still God in both.
May this song help us grow into a faith that can say:
God is able.
Even if He does not, He is still good.
He is still sovereign.
And He is still worthy of my worship.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego told King Nebuchadnezzar that the God they served was able to deliver them from the blazing furnace and from the king’s hand. But they also declared that even if He did not, they would not serve the king’s gods or worship the golden image.
Reflection:
This is the central passage behind the song. Biblical faith is not a bargain with God. It trusts His power while remaining faithful even when the outcome is uncertain.
Nebuchadnezzar was astonished when he looked into the furnace. Three men had been thrown in, but he saw four walking freely in the fire, unharmed.
Reflection:
God’s presence does not always mean we avoid the fire. Sometimes His presence is revealed most clearly in the middle of it.
When Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego came out of the furnace, the fire had not harmed their bodies. Their hair was not singed, their clothes were unchanged, and there was no smell of fire on them.
Reflection:
The fire could not go beyond what God allowed. Even in circumstances that seem overwhelming, God remains sovereign.

Verse 1
A golden image rose in Babylon,
The music played, and all the people bowed.
But three men stood while everyone knelt down,
They would not worship what the king had raised.
The king was burning with a furious rage,
“Who is the god who can deliver you?”
Without fear, they answered him and said,
“Our God is able to deliver us.”
Chorus
Our God is able,
He can save us from the fire.
But even if He does not,
We will never bow to another god.
Even if He does not,
We will worship You alone.
Not because the ending goes our way,
But because You are God,
And You are worthy.
Verse 2
The furnace burned seven times as hot,
They were bound and thrown into the flames.
Then suddenly the king stood up amazed,
For in the fire, there were no longer three.
Their chains were gone, they walked among the flames,
And not a single wound was on their skin.
There was Another walking there with them,
God had not left them in the fire alone.
Verse 3
And when I walk through furnaces of my own,
When I have prayed and still no answer comes,
When what I hoped for does not come to pass,
Hold my heart so I will not turn away.
I know that You are still the God who can,
I know Your ways are higher than my own.
And even if You do not answer as I ask,
My heart is Yours,
And I will worship still.
Bridge
If You deliver me, I’ll worship You.
If You lead me through, I’ll worship still.
If You remove the fire, I will give You thanks.
If You walk beside me, I will not be afraid.
For I believe, I believe You reign.
I believe, I believe You are good.
I believe, I believe in Your unfailing love.
I believe every promise You have made.
All things are held within Your hands,
And every season has its time.
Though I may not understand it now,
Still I trust Your heart.
Final Chorus
Our God is able,
He can save us from the fire.
But even if He does not,
We will never bow to another god.
Even if He does not,
We will worship You alone.
Though the road is not the one we hoped for,
You are still God,
And You are still on the throne.
In the fire, You are walking with me.
In the darkest night, You never leave.
Whatever answer comes,
I will still worship.
I still belong to You.
Even if He does not...
I will still worship You...
I still belong to You...
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the testimony of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and for showing us what steadfast faith looks like.
So often, we believe You are powerful, but we also want You to answer according to our plans and our timing. When prayers remain unanswered, when circumstances do not change, or when the road becomes harder than we expected, our faith can begin to shake.
Give us the faith to say, “Even if He does not.”
We believe You are able to heal, to provide, to restore, to open doors, and to make a way where there seems to be none. But even when Your answer is different from what we hoped for, help us continue to trust Your goodness and Your wisdom.
When we walk through our own fiery furnaces, keep our eyes from seeing only the flames. Help us recognize that You are with us there.
If You remove the fire, we will thank You.
If You lead us through it, give us grace for every step.
If the answer comes quickly, we will praise You.
If we must wait, teach us to remain faithful.
Strengthen those who are walking through sickness, loss, family struggles, financial pressure, uncertainty, disappointment, or long seasons of unanswered prayer. Remind them that they are not alone and that Your presence has not left them.
Lord, let our faith be more than, “I trust You because You gave me what I asked for.”
Teach our hearts to say:
Even if not, I will still trust You.
Even if not, I will still worship You.
Even if not, I still belong to You.
In the name of Jesus Christ we pray,
Amen.

Even If He Does Not | Daniel 3 Worship Song | Faith in the Fire | Shadrach, Meshach & Abednego
Video Description:
“Our God is able to deliver us from the blazing furnace… But even if He does not…”
Those words from Daniel 3 are some of the strongest words of faith in the Bible.
King Nebuchadnezzar built a golden image and commanded everyone in Babylon to bow down and worship it. When the music began, the crowd fell to the ground — but Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego remained standing.
They knew exactly what their refusal could cost them.
A blazing furnace was waiting.
Yet they told the king that the God they served was able to save them. And then came the words that reveal the depth of their faith:
“But even if He does not…”
They would still refuse to bow.
Their faith was not based on receiving the outcome they wanted. They believed God was able to rescue them, but even if He chose not to deliver them in the way they expected, He was still God, still worthy, and still deserving of their worship.
That is the heart behind “Even If He Does Not,” an original Christian worship song inspired by Daniel chapter 3.
The three men were eventually thrown into a furnace heated seven times hotter than usual. But when Nebuchadnezzar looked into the fire, he was astonished.
He had thrown in three men.
Now he saw four.
God did not keep them from entering the furnace — He met them inside it.
Their chains were gone. The flames did not consume them. When they came out, their bodies were unharmed, their clothes were untouched, and there was not even the smell of fire on them.
Maybe you are walking through a furnace of your own today.
Perhaps you have prayed for healing, restoration, provision, direction, or breakthrough, and the answer has not come the way you hoped. Maybe you know God is able, but you do not know what He will choose to do.
This song is a prayer for those moments:
Our God is able.
But even if He does not,
I will still believe.
I will still worship.
I still belong to You.
Faith is not saying, “God, I will trust You only if You give me the answer I want.”
Faith is saying, “God, I know You can. But even if the road looks different from what I prayed for, You are still good. You are still sovereign. And You are still worthy of my worship.”
Sometimes God removes the fire.
Sometimes He leads us through it.
But we are never alone in the flames.
May this song encourage anyone walking through trials, unanswered prayer, suffering, uncertainty, waiting, loss, or a difficult season of faith.
Even in the fire, God is with you.
